It's not the @ss we are looking at....trust me on this one.... :D

tis big enough to be the 600. It seems a little bit too long to be the 500, but as someone who has only admired those from afar, I'd need to check against a photo reference.

She had an ass?

I have to go find a recent What the Duck cartoon... it's been posted on this board already, but would go PERFECT in this thread!

Great link! The nameplates are also different on the 600. Definitely a 500 based on the location of the plate too.

My usual gear at airshows is the 30D with the Sigma 50-500mm lens. They say white lenses attract attention but at some point size does too.

Anyway, I get asked a lot who I'm shooting for, am I a professional, etc. but one time after saying "no" to "are you with a magazine?" I then get asked:

"Well, what are you going to do with your pictures then?"

Gee, I dunno. Like maybe enjoy them?

Thanks Photolistic :)

The Titan missile is at the Titan Missile Museum in Arizona. It's an actual Titan missile silo that has been converted to a museum and you can take tours to look at the missile from topside (looking down into the silo) or from a number of different levels all the way down to standing underneath the missile. This particular missile has never been fueled so it's safe. It's also lacking the 9 megaton nuclear warhead that used to be there...

It's a great experience and I'm going back this weekend for an indepth 5 hour tour of the place.

Those are just dummies for scale and to show how they maintained the missile.

And yes it's a fun tour. There's even a simulated launch from the actual control room.
