hi all found this on holiday was about 6cm in lenth and a wingspan of about 7 1/2 cm (frightened the kids and wife. lol) im pretty sure its a hawkmoth but no doubt some of you who are better informed will correct me

Jul 31, 2006 08:37 | #3 ty brian just need a lot more practice to get the focus bang on, hopefully ill get as good as you one day...maybe need a longer macro lens..this 60mm is ok but you gotta get pretty close to the blighters to fill the frame

I sometimes use my 200mm with ext rings for similar sized skitterish bugs. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lordv/
