Do I get a rebate on my printer?

I purchased the i9900 from CompUSA and the salesperson told me I get a $100 rebate from Canon. I can't seem to find the rebate online anywhere and the official rebate page doesnt work.

Did he lie to me?

(also, I never recieved my rebate from last fall's rebate session)
