This is the last time I will wear my uniform. I have retired. I took this in my livingroom.

I certainly was not looking for a “thank you.” I do appreciate the kind words from everyone. I joined the U.S. Coast Guard twenty years ago because I liked the idea of helping people which I have done many times during my career. My wife has been with me the entire time. The uniform is the Dinner Dress; it would be worn in place of a tux. It is now sealed in a bag in the back of the closet. Again—thank you for the kind words. Lovin' my 80D

SuzyView Cream of the Crop More info | Aug 01, 2006 07:13 | #10 I'm sure the resolution on the post is not as sharp as the one you got at from the camera, but from what I can see, the lighting is not harsh at all and very flattering for both you and your wife. Thanks for posting and I'm going to try that set-up in my living room when I get it all out again. Suzie - Still Speaking Canonese!

While sometimes it must seem like nobody cares that you put your butt on the line day in and day out to make sure the shores of this country are safe for everyone who lives here, I want you to rest assured that many of us are not only aware... but are extremely thankful for all your hard work and your many sacrafices. So I echo those who have done so previously... Thank you VERY much for your service. ~John
