Hey Chris -
Do you have a logo or a motto or a quote that you enjoy regarding your work? Perhaps you could put that on there? Just an idea....

I do like the split with the blue and the listing of different things you shoot. VERY!!! Nice! :) But there is still something.....

Have you tried making three little white boxes in the upper left corner, and then three blue boxes offset in the middle of the right side? Just to add a little more visual interest. That probably doesn't make any sense. Sorry. :)

I do like Skips idea of the basic old style camera as an image, and with the split down the middle now, you could put the image in the center and then do half in blue (on the white side) and half in white ( on the blue side).

How about with the blue offset?

I tried some white boxes, it looked best with 4 arranged in a square, but i wasn't convinced.

It's looking better and better! Are you getting excited? :)
I don't know if I like the blue being soooooo narrow.....Do you like something like this?

This has the boxes as cubes instead and makes it look more like pixels. Kinda a play on digital photography, ya know?

you do realize that I'll be asking for your help when I redo my logo. LOL :) HA!

Have you considered to have your name your logo vs a different layout on your card?
I seem to recognize fonts and style vs layout the majority of the time.
Are you going to change your watermark as well?
Do you want them similar?

I just wanted to comment on the card's design. First, it's in two non-black colors, and every print shop that knows what it's doing is going to charge you for that. Washing up the press for extra colors is time and time is money. They may also charge you for metal plates instead of the cheap paper plates.

When you reprint the card, you have to pay for ink washups again.

A black-ink-only card may cost you $35 to $90. A two-color card could conceivably run an additional $150 or more.

The ink going off the side of the card is called a "bleed" and this costs money too. This is because the printer will need to print the ink outside the boundaries of the paper, then cut it to size. This again is extra work and they usually charge for this.

Before you get much further on your design, you may want to get a quote from a print shop. Then you'll know if everyone here is designing within your budget, or far outside of it.

And yes, I used to work for a print shop or two, and I did the estimating for jobs like this.
