Has anyone made a made a photo slideshow from their pictures? I am trying to do one using Nero and a SVCD, but the quality seems to be less than acceptable. Are there any settings to increase the quality? Or any tips anyone can recommend for the best results?

you are much better off just slap all the pic and a copy of a photo viewer on the CD. SVD is only 352 x 240 and DVD is 720 x 480. both sucks for photo viewing

I used to use Adobe Premeire, but recently have run across this little program: Potodex Proshow Gold (external link). Not too shabby... lots of options, templates, add, soundtracks, motion, easy to use. You can output your slideshow to a vid file, DVD, screensaver, stand-alone executable file... etc. What took me half an hour to do on Premeire and render takes me about ten minutes to do now. But I'm sure in about a couple of hours, there's gonna be something better. For now, I'd recommend it.

PM me and I'll try and email you a small sample of what I put together with it.

This is my Camera.
