I would like to get a teleconverter lens for my G-1. I've already ordered the Lensmate adaptor. The only 2x converters I can tell are out there are the Tiffen and the Kenko, neither of which seem to be earning flowering comments.

Anyway, I think a 3x is the way I want to go. I'm looking at the Lenmar VSL30 3X telephoto lens. It has a 49mm mount, which should fit the Lensmate.

Does anyone have any comments?

Barry

The adapters designed for the Olympus IS2000 are 49mm. I have no information about the extender, but I'm happy with the WA converter (and will probably buy the extender). The conversion factors aren't huge, but that probably makes it easier to make them work well. If you go to http://www.angelfire.com/art/2by4/pictures (external link) and then select Chesapeake Bay Pictures, you'll find one taken with the WA converter -- the one of the building at the entrance to the CBM Museum.

Hi!

Have you ended up getting the Lenmar 3x? what are your thoughts? Or have you gotten any of the Olympus extenders?
