Hiya Philbyuk,
I was just having a poke round up here, I'm normally on Macro, I certainly can't make any Tech comments as I don't have the understanding, It's a lovely sunset shot but I think its spoiled by that "thing"?? sticking up right in front of the setting sun, I love the colour of the sky.
Cheers for now
Mark

Hi,

Thanks for posting this. Lovely shot. I really should try to get out a bit more with my camera as this was shot only a few miles from my home. I thought you had to be at Treloy or at Trevelgue to get that shot as the radar tower is on St Mawgan airfield (aka Newquay Airport for civillian travelleres) and may not be there for that much longer as the RAF are pulling out. Why they wan't to give up one of the longest runways in Europe, I can't understand. However, it may open the options for new routes for the civillian airport.

My vote for the tower is to leave it in as it gives it a sense of place, as soon as I saw it, I knew where it was. Without that, it could be anywhere in the world.

Btw, 'Kernow' is is the cornish name for Cornwall. It is a celtic county and had it's own (celtic) language for many years - several signs use both English and Kernewek (Cornish) but it is not as common as in Wales.
