Went out to the Chargers training camp yesterday.

Pretty cool, overall. I've never done anything like that before, and I haven't shot sports since high school. This is the first time I used the "Sports" mode on the 20D.

I've got a ton of shots, and will post them as I get through them:

This guy redefines the word "fast": Darren Sproles setting up to receive a kick:

Running Back Ladanian Tomlinson (considered to be one of the most dangerous backs in the NFL) runs a pass route for Philip Rivers as Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer (far right) looks on:

All were shot with the 20D and the 70-200mm f/2.8L with the Tamron 1.4TC...

(Had to edit the post for the two-image rule. Sorry. I'll get others up in seperate threads)

In 'Photo Sharing' section:
1. when you attach images, you may attach max. two (2) images per thread
2. when you embed images, you may embed max. eight ( per thread

Fast, shifty, quick...he is one dangerous punt returner.

How many wins for the Chargers this year? 8?

Thanks. I don't know why I was thinking it was the other way around...

I haven't looked at their schedule yet, so I'm not ready to make a guess yet.

As for Sproles, watching him run was amazing. Yeah, watching his cut here and cut there was amazing, but his acceleration was almost frightening...

How do you guys get in to the training camps? Can anyone go or do you have to have a pass?

When I shot pics at the Chicago Bears camp last week, you didn't need credentials, you just walk in but you're not allowed on the field.
But you are only a foot away from the on field photogs.

Marty Schottenheimer, the Charger's head coach, is my neighbor.

Okay, that's a lie.

The Chargers practice sessions are open to the public. Still cameras are permitted, but video cameras are not...

Chargers 8 to 9 wins this year, but they'll beat the Steelers on Sunday Night.

Nice shot of Sproles.

 close? I thought 8-8 but they end up 14-2? I don't think anyone saw that coming. The Chargers aren't my team but they are my pick to win it all.
