this is my first post of my own work. c&c is welcome...i think.
meet Austin...a twin, born 4 weeks early. This was taken on day 2 of his life while in his NICU warmer. I got the nurses to open the shade for a little light to work with, and here is the result.

The 2nd picture is of his brother David...born 10 minutes before Austin.

Both boys are healthy and are growing the way they should. We are very lucky!

That's a beautiful shot. Congratulations, and welcome to the sleepless nights, and constant worrying, that is being a parent :). The only difference I would make, would be adjusting the levels, and move the white point, so that his hat is really white.

Beautiful shot, and congratulations.

My first daughter was born early, but its amazing to see how they grow and develop and then you forget about all these days when you worried.

Look forward to seeing more shots.

My Canon can.. I just need to find out how

Beautiful baby. You are blessed! Nice capture, too.

I am also sending another son out the door at the end of the month. My oldest is coming home to help pack his younger brother and they are both leaving on the same day. My family will be down to 4 and I'm excited, but sad at the same time. They grow so fast. By the time they are 18 you hope they have good wings.

Usually, early shots embarras the kids when they grow up (some of mine did). Certainly, not this one. He will be very happy with this beautiful shot.

Congrats!

Julio.

thanks everyone. i thought i had a good shot here, but have never felt comfortable to open myself up to the critique of other photographers. i tried to frame the shot so he would not look like a tiny 4lb baby...I wanted him to look strong, because he is. He is a fighter.

I have posted another one of his brother...David.

Great shots.

I especially like his expression in the second shot - "get out of here, I'm trying to sleep" :-)
