Well, it took until August for the stuff to get here, but it was ordered in July... close enough :)

I recently went through work-related relocation, and there was enough of a lump sum benefit left after all was said and done to get some equipment, including the two Sigma lenses in my sig. They seem to work well optically, but the zoom rings at first were pretty stiff... considering that neither of my Canon zooms were new when I bought them, would that be considered normal? They're a little better now after playing with the lenses for a day or two, but I've a feeling it'll take some time before I'd call things comfortable.

Other parts of the haul were a new tripod and ball head (thanks to sandierox for recommendations there) and a PocketWizard 2 setup. I'm looking forward to trying those out!

Perfectly normal!
Congrats too! That's a sweet setup.

Thanks! Time will tell if I keep the 24-70, though... if I get much more annoyed at the fact that the zoom ring is directly under the 20D's built-in flash, I'll likely be selling it. Fingers running into camera body while zooming is not fun.
