Have you eer bought from 17th street photo or 1 one call or j& r comp world?
The prices for the 700-200 F2 IS is around $1700.
can there be some hidden fee somewhere?

17th street is great i have used them alot great to deal with.$1700 is the going price fore the 70-200 2.8 IS.

one call and J&R are great companies. J&R often has huge steals, like the little canon portable printer, usualy less than $50 when everyone else is 150 or more

I have physically visit the 17th street photo and J&R and they are both good stores to deal w/ at least in person. J&R sales people at least in camera department are not very knowledgeble last time I visit and that was a while ago,

If their web site isn't down...that is the best price I have seen.

Also I would give J&R a call, they will bring down the price a little and can upgrade you to 2-day shipping for no extra cost.

I bought my 8mm Sigma from B & H and I didn't have any problems. I tried using the B & H site this afternoon and it was down for a while.

i just tried the psmay aug 21 is today and its 1699 is it because their sites down or a price jack? it used to be 1599 when i checked a month ago?

If you are located in NY, OneCall.com probably be the best for you, as you need to pay tax on top of the $1600 price if you purchase from B&H while onecall will match B&H price without any taxes (about $130).

Using the new search code 'psaug', the imported version is $1659.95 while the USA version is $1599.95
