juxtapose(sp)?

ok i keep seeing /reading 'juxapose'(or something similiar) in connection with photo,s can anyone enlighten me on the meaning of this????

Basically, in terms of folio, its about how you order your series of photos.. creating meaning by which images you place on opposing pages.

Within an image, you might juxtapose an eldery lady sitting sedately in a white cane chair, with black leather Harley Davidson gear and helmet hanging from the wall next to her.. what connotations/meanings would you assume from that photo?

Basically, its a way of arranging aspects of an image to make meaning within it.
