I love the lens...............and then a decent long zoom

Not only that.. it's a GREAT setup that will carry you far! I wouldn't mind being made to live with a 30D and 17-55 either.. (I almost set myself up for that but things changed and opportunity knocks)

Lightstream wrote: Not only that.. it's a GREAT setup that will carry you far! I wouldn't mind being made to live with a 30D and 17-55 either.. (I almost set myself up for that but things changed and opportunity knocks) yeah it's a great setup no doubt. was really happy that i didn't go though getting the whole kit lens and opt for just the body only. Yella Fella wrote: does that lens weigh much? the lens itself is ok.. not too heavy.. but when you mount it with bat grip and 30D + lens hood and occasionally a 430EX.. it does get a bit heavy. but it's a good time for me to work my arms out too. JimAskew wrote: Rui, Super great shots...I'm loving my 17-55MM EF-S IS too. Enjoy, man.. that's about the same route i'm going with as well. my next lense will be the 70-200mm IS and then the 50mm f1.4. 5DMKII Gripped | 30D Gripped | 50mm f1.4 | 24-70mm f2.8L | 70-200mm f2.8L IS | 430EX | 580EXIIhttps://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=416554
