any guess on canon service turnaround time?

sent my 4mo old rebel xt in to get cleaned, lenses are dust free, sensor looked clean, mirror looked clean. Had lots of dust bunnies in the view finder? Not sure how it all got in there. Looked like a stringy piece of fuzz and about 18 small specs of dust. Drove me nutz even though they are not on the photos afterwards.

Oh well, it's off to the service center.

days to weeks, just depends on how many are a head of you. I assumed you tried cleaning the viewfinder, focusing screen and mirror (only places where you could see it, but not in the image.

yes, the last thing I wanted to do was box her up and ship her off. Been delaying it for a month already cause I knew I had some car shows I wanted to shoot. Should be event free for the next 3 weeks, I guess I can snag the wife's sony p&s if needed :)

Repair Cost:
$211.09!!

Called them and asked why, then ended up having it covered under warranty. geez louise!

Much nicer to have it done under warranty. Service on my 20D was less than 10 days, door to door.
