Any comments on the new mark II vs the older version. Reviews say focusing speed and TTL measurements, but $600 is a lotta clams
TIA

the old one was no slouch focusing......but the 1.8 was faster.

the new one is faster than the 1.8 but you'll need a machine to tell, but has a better bokeh and a little sharper.

not really worth the price is the general agreement.

Who's general agreement. I signed no such agreement. IMHO the L blows the 1.8 out of the water in color, contrast and bokeh.

save some dough and get the mark 1.
