Today 8-10-06, Cathy, the comic strip, was really funny because it touched a nerve for me.

Cathy (looking at her laptop with her husband behind her): "Every picture we've taken since we got our digital camera is dumped in there, Iving!"

Irving (covering his eyes): "Don't Look!"

Kathy (covering her eyes): "3000 unrotated, unedited, un-red-eyed, unprinted images!"

Irving (still covering his eyes): "Not looking! Not looking! Not looking!"

Author's comment: "New World of Photography, Same Old Problem."

Author's comment: "Subjects keep shutting their eyes."

Kathy & Irving (walking away and covering their eyes): "Walk away and it will go back to sleep!"

I must have 10,000 captures I haven't done anything with. :o

HOW MANY IMAGES DO YOU HAVE LURKING IN YOUR COMPUTER UNEDITED AND UNPRINTED?

My children and grandchildren are the reason, but it's the passion that drives me to get the perfect image of everything.

Well, I'm not that bad, but I do keep a lot of shots that I should just throw away. :)

I have 180,000 images on three sets of RAID disks across two computers. Even I am amazed that I can find almost anything pretty quickly but that is mostly because I shot a fairly narrow range of easily organized subject matter.

I go back and find stuff I totally forgot I photographed sometimes... it's easier now that I have them backed up online and tagged but I still do get surprises whenever I go through and back the good ones up externally :p
