Helen, That is a nice flight catch - try to pull up the shadows a bit for more wing detail - Bob

Hi bob, I have altered it slightly, but, as always, light conditions were pretty low (I live in woodland). With hindsight, I guess I could have brought the hutter speed down to 1/800 or so.

Cheers

Helen, that is one awesome in-flight shot :) Your timing was perfect, I love the pose! You are very lucky to live with such wonderful creatures.

Very good shots helen, love the angle of the Kite in the first shot showing the tail fanned out perfectly. The feather detail on the second shot are fab, well done.

Great shots Helen.:) The in flight shot is as good as it gets. Great timing on the shot, I like the way you have got the tail turned vertical as it's about to change direction. How lucky are you to have such beautiful birds in your garden, you should charge for photogs to come photograph them.

It had crossed my mind. ;)

I have had a few birders come my way, especially for the kites, but to be honest, any of the small villages within a few miles of Junctions 5 and 6 of the M40 are good places to see them.

The only difference is, I get to see them sitting in the tree, as opposed to just flying around.

Thanks for the comments.
