First one is a peach - shooting at f/2.8 is mental!! The DOF is just wide enough to fit the car in.

:)

Amazing how that car just pops off the screen in the first shot. Very nice!

Number 2, I like. Good expression in the eyes and excellent use of depth of field.

Number 1 is too static. The DoF is nice, I agree, but 1/3200th is way too fast to shoot any race car and this one is a classic case of "car parked on the circuit". When you can see the grain on the tyres of a moving single seater race car you know your shutter speed is too high. 1/320th would have been nearer the mark.

I disagree re: first photo. It looks OK to me - the only detraction is the on the rear tyre (you can see the AVON logo static) but it's hardly noticeable.

I always perfer to have as much movement shown in the wheels as possible. But if it's head on, or mostly head composure, then you can get away with less movement.

Had a great day again today apart from being soaked through to the skin. Got a few more pics today and now a small selection of images straight from the camera can be seen Here

Very nice.

I didn't have a great day myself. I made completely the wrong choice of clothing, thus my legs cold throughly saturated with rain and thus cold, got cramp in my hands, and then the bloody wind kept on catching me out.

I'm pretty pleased with my TGP lot though. I'll make myself a thread displaying the best of my efforts tomorrow.
