Against The Wall

Hi, this is my first pic posted in people.. ( only second image total actually) and i am very happy with this one.I am trying to get lighting and exposure right as well as get comfy with this lens,and this is one i took this afternoon. It was taken in an underground carpark that allowed a fair amount of natural light in. this particular spot where i placed my son had a nice sunbeam hitting it and i was hoping it would give a nice effect.Image has been cropped and resized .

This is just a personal thing, but I would have put a translucent pannel between the light and him to soften it. Also, I would have placed the pannel pretty close to him to try and make the shadow on the wall not quite as harsh. But, I do like the the shot.

I like this one. Knowing how harsh "our" light is down here, i think you've done a great job. The old B&W film shooter in me is still in love with high contrast stuff! It's a good shot. Great eye contact! Well done!

I like the way the light is on him. Nice pose

I like the shot too. I like the intensity of his gaze into the camera. Hard lighting like this is perfect for a portrait of this boy. The shadow only adds more depth.
