Ok so I'm having some coloring issues. I've done about 4 weddings this summer. (My first four paid anyway.) I'm taking them in very green outdoor locations. I've been keeping them in the shade of trees and shrubbery (Mostly). I'm getting such green tones on their skin. I feel so overwhelmed by pp on otherwise good photos. Is their a filter (built-in or otherwise) that can combat this problem. Or is this a white balance issue?
Question #2 I started out charging $30 for family sitting(1/2 hour), & $75 for wedding(1 hour) and giving cd's of images. Now I feel like I'm getting some experience under my belt and I'm wondering if my prices going up should be fairly gradual or what kind of jump is appropriate. I live in a small town (6,000 people) Word of mouth is obviously very important and has been great so far. I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

did you shoot RAW or jpeg? you can correct color balance issues in several ways, post an example and we can work on it.

you charged 100 for a full wedding?

prices should and need to go up, if your portfolio reflects that you've made improvements and that you can compete at a higher level, then raise your prices accordingly. Check out what your competition is offering and priced at

I shot them in jpeg. STUPID, I know. RAW scares me. I don't even know why. Actually I am going to get out this week and take a thousand pictures in RAW format. My poor kids must get so sick of my taking their pictures. I don't know how to make my photos small enough that they will accept them. If someone would be so kind as to help me, I will show you kind of what I mean. And really their is not competition for weddings in my town. There are two professional photographers. One does weddings, (but he's not good, at least to my standards) And the other is great, but he's giving it up professionally for real estate developing. So I don't really know where to go for help or comparasons.
