Thanks Jim - they were taken with the 100mm macro...gotta love that lens & cooperating dragonflies!

That lens is on my list.I tried with my 70-200.They are know where near as nice as your shots.They don't sit still for to long,do they.

It all depends...these hung out for about a minute - pretty long time in photography time!!! I was happy! Maybe the heat's not hot enough there in CT? Not sure, but here in VA, we've been plenty hot - one thing I'm learning here is dragonflies love the heat!
But, I do recommend the 100mm. I have no regrets with that purchase!!

A couple of nice images here. Good light, colors and sharp images. Nicely done. The 3rd shot is interesting as well considering the angle.

Thanks a bunch Gary! I appreciate your words. The df in the 3rd shot was on my car antenna! I was shooting up at it...I also got a shot of him/her eating, but it's not really in focus, but still cool...poor little bug gave it's all!
