This was my first try at doing RC cars. They are very fast and there is a lot of dust. It was also getting dark and started to rain toward the end. I think I will do better next time. here are a few of my favs. The rest you can see on my webpage.

Nice job on the tracking :D
It's difficult to track something that small and fast.

Gas or electric?

Very nice. There is a track like this near my house. I tried shooting it once. I found it almost impossible. Good job.

I love rc cars! I like the last shot how it's all squatting down.

Nice shots! RC racing is easily one of the most difficult things to shoot (indoors is darn near impossible!). I've been shooting a lot of rc racing recently (plenty of big races in SoCal during the summer; most of it's up on my website if you'd care to take a look), and practice certainly makes perfect. It can be very frustrating at times... a 15 inch object travelling 30+ mph makes for some challenging shooting; your keeper rate will go way up as time goes on.

Thanks JBD. Illl bet indoors is hard! What lens are you useing most of the time? the 70-200 or the 28-75? I used my sigma 55-200 most of the time.

Outdoors, I use the 70-200, and indoors, the 85 f1.8.
