Fantastic Jake - memories are the things we can always carry.

We have started our own trip with a new and delightful friend and I can only hope we get to share a small part of the wonder, love and delight you so obviously had and have.

Thanks

I am the proud owner of the Peleng 8mm Fisheye lens

I can feel your loss as anyone who loves a dog can. Dogs are the most loving and faithful companions a human can know. They love us unconditionally. Bumpus obviously had a wonderful life and you can take comfort in that. My heart goes out to you.

Animals are amazing creatures, Jake. That is a great story and I am sure Bumpas is now Theo's guardian angel:)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

How's Roo doing?

She's doing very well, apart from being geriatric, she is coping well with all the changes.
The new House has it's ups and downs for her, obviously the chaos of moving was a bit of an issue, but past that, she has her own yards, and easy access in and out of the house. A Neighborhood to walk in (as opposed to DownTown where we used to live)

In Fact, Yesterday Was Roo's (and would have been Bumpus') 15th Birthday. I guess that is what got me thinking of them yesterday.

Jake, that story of Bumpas and Roo protecting the bunny is so touching.

My older dog died (red dog, my avatar) last summer. The two dogs used to eat from dishes side by side. Louie now won't eat from the same place as before. If I put food at the old comunal site he walks away, and I have to move the dish.

No question, other mammals have warm hearts and fond attachments. I think their souls are somehow purer than ours.
