I have had a peculiar disk space loss on my 64 MB flash card. After some use, 30/40 photos, the flash card reports 60 MB free. No files are present, (hidden of others), just the two empty directories. Instead of having 35 full res pics, I only have 31 or so available.

To set everyting back to 64 MB I need to format the card. I am worried that repeated re-formating may lead to early failure..

This is happening quite regularly. I have not checked if the disk space would continue shrinking with further usage.

Any idea what's going on ?

Guy

Hmmm... part of the card is occupied by camera settings... Also sometimes you have fragments of files that were left over when the card was being erased. You can't see them in regular explorer. Only full format will eliminate those fragments...

To my knowledge that was always a problem...
