Hi All,

Not posted for a while.

Here's a Little Grebe I managed to get a couple of weekends ago using the 600 on my 1d MKII and a 1.4x conv.

All comments welcome

Very nice shot of the grebe, robam. Very sharp, well exposed and composed. Really like the beads of water on the head and neck.

Nice use of DOF to single out the Grebe with a nice angle, light and detail. The water drops are a bonus. Nice work!

Now that's a keeper! A nice little smirk, water here and there, no distractions, it's all about the bird.

Hi All,

Thank you all for your comments.

cfcRebel, no I was'nt in the water for this shot but in a hide in a reed bank using a ground plate with a wimberley head.

YES! a non IS 600mm, they are pretty thin on the ground as no one wants to part with them as they are stonking lenses but they do exist!!

Regards

Rob

Beautiful shot. Is it me or does the Grebe appear to be swimming downhill?
