As some of you may know from my previous ridiculous threads where I may bring up situations nobody in the world would think of (i.e. sterlingtek battery frying digic II chip...and then essploding). Now I'm in an even worse tumult.

I just ordered a 30D and some neat attatchments to go with (70-200IS, 17-40, tripod, flash, blah blah blah) to reoutfit my entire photo line. Ok great! So I should be happy right? My wallet has been demolished..but we've all experienced that (And by the way, I blame all of you for that). But now I'm wondering...what if my lenses don't come out to a tolerable sharpness as said in a very recent thread? I know it goes against the unsaid code of capturing a moment...but I just spent all this money and...sigh. I even called up B&H and asked the guy there if he could personally make sure I don't get a returned lens package. Of course I should've known B&H is better then that and doesn't do such dity actions, he spent about 10 minutes of his time cooling me off  .

So I'll just..you know...twiddle my thumbs for 24 hours (yes yes I suckered myself into spending 60 more bucks for the 2-day shipping, i'm sure others of you have too...right..right? :()

OH BUT WHAT JOY! MY BABY IS INCOMMING..WOOOHO...but..then again there's the above...

I'll just go um, take up a religion or something..

congrats, don't get caught up in the pixel peeping, go try it out in real world scenarios, see how good it really is.

I usually can get free 3 day shipping, so paying for 2 day seems silly to me, but I know its hard to wait

RELAX!!!!

Really its ok. Remember we hear a majority of problems here from people looking for help. The times things are perfect are much less. As far as the lenses, just shoot with them and dont worry about pixel peeping unless something rears its ugly head. Just enjoy!! you FREAK! :)

Relax....the point you are missing...is that what you are seeing is only the people that have had issues with their gear...be they real or perceived ones. Folks with perfectly normal gear seldom start threads to say..."I bought a new lens and it is perfect". When your gear arrives....give it a thorough test...including real world shots...pictures of what you would normally shoot...not 50 hours worth of lined up batteries. Odds are good that your new babies will be just fine and will provide you with a long and happy future.

You have just made yourself a great buy! I hate waiting for shipping, I just ordered a new 580ex yesterday and used next day air shipping. It should be here in a matter of minutes (has to be delivered by 10:30AM). Post some pics as soon as you get that bad boy running! Hope everything turns out sharp as a tack!

Congrats on the purchase. Why did you not get the over night shipping. Now you are going to miss 2 nights of sleep. Just kidding. Like Dante said, most of what you read is people asking for help, it is rare that you read about people Bragging about how wonderful everything is. All will be ok. Have fun. Tell me how the 17-40L is. I am wanting one of those.
