I made the plunge today and upgraded from the XT to the 30D. :) :D

After I held this thing in my hands a few days ago I was hooked. It feels so nice! Definitely fits my large hands better.

Don't get me wrong, I love my XT and have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. I just felt like after a year I was ready to move up. The XT will be a great backup.

The 30D just feels so solid.

My local store price matched B&H (with Shipping) so I got it for $1239 just down the street. I can't wait to get out and give it a proper welcome.

30D and an XT will be a good combo for double barrel shooting.

I'm already falling in love!

I knew I bought that 2nd POTN strap a few months ago for a good reason! Pulled that pretty green strap out of the drawer and boy does it look sharp on the 30D!!

Can you tell I'm in a state of euphoria?!

Congrats. I tried to buy mine local but all the shops here are on crack. They were all right at $1400, body only. I wanted to buy local but to save $200 + tax, I ordered from B & H and its in transit.

Thanks everyone. sp00ks, that's too bad. I emphasized repeatedly to mine about how I like buying locally, but prices have to be competitive. They would match any authorized Canon reseller. So they said yes to B&H, but no to Newegg.com. Ironically, B&H had the better price (with the PSMAY code).

I will get some pics posted soon.
