Can you show how you have that 307 configured and all of that in it?

Thanks

I need help deciding on which Billingham to purchase, the 335 or the 307? I would like to fit my 5d II, 24mm L, 35mm L, 85mm L and maybe a 580EX II.

I have a 335 and 445 (both posted in this thread) and like them a lot. By the looks of it (no personal experience wit the 07 series though) I'd prefer a 335 over a 307 to work out of.

Very nice ... :D

How about a picture of the inside and outside with everything loaded in the bag?

I have been considering traveling really light with just a 5D-II, 35L, and 100Lmacro. That would be a nice kit in the Hadley Small.

Great kit! My pen choice isn't as nice. Bullet pen. And I compromise image quality--18-200VR. Handy though. Works far better on my D300S than my D80. Go figure...
I want a bag like yours. :-)
Hadley Digital is great for minimum carry.
Or a Pro....

DaveL

edit...bullet pen writes about anywhere. Handy!

Howard,
Travelling light frees the mind. :)
Favourite camera of all time....Leica M3-50/2.0 summicron
Another favourite--Nikon F2 with 50/3.5 micro Spent a lot of time with that camera

Two of them taught me a lot about light, and images.

My Hadley Digital with d300s and 18-200VR is such an easy package to carry. My NEX system--unfortunately 2 lenses. Find myself going out with just the kit zoom lens most of the time. Looks so tiny in the Digital. ;)

If you really want to go light, you could easily fit that kit into a Billingham L2 (Alice).

I'll try to get a photo of a setup like that in the morning.

I had considered the L2, but it appeared that it wasn't tall enough for the 35L mounted to the camera, let alone the 100L macro mounted. The L2 (Alice) is a nice small bag however.

I do use a Billingham f/2.8 bag for that type of 2-lens carry system and it works well, but it isn't as thin as the Hadley Small.

I don't have a 35L to try mounted, but I do have the 100L. I've carried the 100L in the bag along with a 24-105 mounted. At least ... that's how I remember it. :)

I'll check it out when I get home (in a coffee shop right now).

In the name of full disclosure, I've got the old Alice, not the L2 - some of the dimensions may have changed.

You were right ... the 100L won't really fit in there on the camera.

Here's a shot of the Alice with a 5DM2, 24-105L (mounted), 100L, & 15mm fisheye

IMAGE: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/rsamos/pnet/IMG_0167.jpg

And a shot showing how the body *barely* fits with the 24-105L mounted. Things close up fine like this, but the 100L is about 1" longer so no joy there -

IMAGE: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/rsamos/pnet/IMG_0169.jpg

And, for anyone that cares, how I have the inside laid out. The partition on the left of the shot is a tall one, made to fold over. The 15mm (or 50 1.4) goes under that, the lens on the camera fits between the two partitions -

IMAGE: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/rsamos/pnet/IMG_0170.jpg

Showing the 15mm & 100L in the bag w/o the camera in the way -

IMAGE: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i61/rsamos/pnet/IMG_0171.jpg

ETA: I just realized I neglected to take/upload the obligatory shot of the outside of the bag. And I really meant to do that. I bought this bag used more than a dozen years ago, and have used the living daylights out of it.

My Hadley is pretty much the same, only older. Billinghams hold up seriously well -

The mounted 35L is about 1" shorter than a mounted 24-105L, so it looks like it will fit if your older L2 is the same construction and size as the current model. :D

Thanks for the inside layout pics too, that is very helpful! Looks like the little "L2" has some possibilities here ... now to find a cheap one... ;)

Do you have the hood on your 24-105? The space between the dividers looks awful narrow ...

You're welcome.

The hood isn't in the bag in that photo. I've had it in there before, but never with the 100 also.

I'll see if I can put something together tomorrow and include the hood. I can pretty much fit anything into a bag if I back up and get a running start at it.
