Benny not to make wallet thinner, but the Hadley Digital will hold my 5DII plus 1 medium length L lens, spare battery, CFs and my mobile phone.

I have the Digital, Small and Pro. They are all awesome

I can fit my 450D with 70-200 f4 mounted vertically in my Hadley Pro, I just need to loosen the straps by 1 notch.

Yes, the f/4 version of the 70-200L and the 70-300L will fit vertically while mounted in the Hadley Pro. :D

I should have specified that it was the f/2.8 version we were discussing, which will fit vertically in the Hadley Pro, but not while mounted on a camera. ;)

Thanks for confirming your information with the f/4 version.

The 7 series are all the same height and depth, only the width changes with the model number. There are some pictures on this thread of various configurations, as well as a side-by-side comparison for size.

I use a 207 for my ungripped 5D-III with 24-70, 70-200 MII, and 16-35, all f/2.8 lenses plus a flash. I think I posted some pictures of this earlier in this thread.

Neither the 7 series or the Hadley Pro will hold a mounted 70-200 vertically. The 7 series is deep enough to hold the body "sideways", so a gripped camera should be no problem. The Hadley Pro is not so deep and I think it will bulge out badly with a mounted gripped body.

Howard, I keep putting my d300s with grip attached in the Hadley Pro I have. The front of the bag does bulge out badly. More telling, the "green flap" on the top of the bag only coves 1/2 the width of the camera back.

I think it's a testimonial in favour of the bag that it will allow me to carry this large camera body with grip attached, if I need to. It's not a happy carry, but it works.

I am amazed at my little Hadley Digital. It is deep enough to mount the d300s, grip attached, with 18-200VR mounted! The "green flap" covers the entire camera body. The only issue is the camera strap. A smaller camera strap carries just fine.

My Hadley Pro has cured bag lust for me, for now. ;)

Have you noticed the differences in the FibreNyte fabric in the different Hadley colours?
I initially bought the Small in Sage, but had it returned since I thougnt it was a little stiff, and therefor not fitting any good to my back and side.
Got the black instead, and it's much softer and smoother. Billingham gave me the following answer:
---------------
The sage bag would have been made from Fibrenyte 1, and we have recently changed to Fibrenyte 2 which is little softer than Fibrenyte 1, and the black Hadley will be from F'2.
---------------

Just to let you know. Very happy now :)

The difference between Fibrenyte and canvas is negligible. The internal padding makes more of a difference than the difference between the two fabrics. Fibrenyte feels slightly different to the touch, but it's as pliable as canvas - any difference is negligible. But if canvas makes you happy, then that's all that matters. :)

This was comparing two different versions of FibreNyte

My apologies, I misunderstood. But the answer is still no: I have a black Fibrenyte Hadley Pro and a khaki Fibrenyte Hadley Large - there is no difference in the feel of the two bags. At all.

Maybe it's just the Sage that has the old version.

My bags are not brand new... and I doubt that one colour of Fibrenyte would be so different from the others. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I saw and tried the Sage when I was purchasing, and honestly don't remember it feeling any different from the other two. My two Fibrebyte bags feel as flexible and pliable as my canvas Billingham. They do feel different to the touch (not quite as smooth-feeling as the canvas), but they are equally flexible.

And now I'm wondering what the new Fibrenyte feels like... and I *have* been thinking about a Hadley Small in Sage for a while... this could end up badly! :)

Ben

Thank you for the excellent photos with your gear in the bag. They are infinitely more useful than photos of bag exteriors. Maybe you can buy a few larger ones and review them. :)

Rainy day!

Perfect!
My NEX5 gear is in my Hadley Digital! Makes life so easy!

Thanks to www.rangefinderstore.com (external link) in Burlington Ontario. It's hard to find BillyBags here. Rob S stocks them. I have 2 I bought from him.
...Hadley Digital
...Hadley Pro

Great bags. Each purchase was a great experience. I'm a happy customer. AND they cost less than Think Tank bags from Henry's in Canada.
