I found mine at Rob S's.... www.rangefinderstore.com (external link) He is a gentleman, and a pleasure to do business with. I bought 2 (a narrow and a wide) before I bought my second bag. Should have bought 2 narrow pads. I don't even notice that the pad on my HPro is too wide.

Thanks for the tip!

I'm thinking the Hadley Pro will take the smaller shoulder pad. But it appears to be the same width strap as my Large bag?

There is no need to wait for months to get Billingham accessories when there is an easy solution: eBay.

I'm starting to think of buying online. I like supporting my local camera stores if possible if its not much more money usually but the wait is really annoying for Billingham stuff.

... only $52 BIN ... plus $27.60 shipping !!!

(these are $46 with free shipping from B&H)

After reading this thread, I decided to order a Hadley Pro over bags I was considering from Lowepro and Think Tank. I ordered mine from Unique Photo, who had the best price I could find. I've never ordered from them though, so hopefully everything works out. Looking forward to getting the bag!

I have two bags...Hadley Digial with the small width Billingham pad. Hadley Pro with the wider Billingham pad. Both work. Straps are the same width. edit: strap is 1-3/8 in wide

I ordered the pads thinking I would buy one of the larger bags, but bought the Pro seeing how much Howard enjoys his. It was the right choice with the gear I have.

Was it the "SP-40" that you went with 2mnycars?

Mashimaro, all of the Hadley bags take the SP40 shoulder pad.

Rudi - thank you! I just wanted to make sure I had the correct one on order as I wasn't sure if I needed the SP-50 before :)

No problem. I'm using the SP40 on my Hadley Large at the moment, and used it on the Hadley Pro before that. The width of the shoulder strap is the same.

The SP40 is the pad you want. :)

Thanks Rudi.

I don't mind the larger pad onthe narrow strap. It grips winter coats well. Many have Teflon coatings to make them "weather"proof. (Just bought a Barbour border coat, solves that!)

It works better with the Maxpedition Colossus I used before the Hadley Pro.

Finally decided on the Hadley Small for my Fuji X-E1 kit, but now I can't make my mind up on the color...

How does the black color hold up over time?

Just got my Billingham Hadley Pro! Awesome bag, but was just wondering if you guys think the SP40 shoulder strap is really worth it? Thanks in advance!

In a way yes. The typical straps on Billingham bags doesn't have much of a grip to them (at least the one of my L2), if you plan to carry it messenger bag style on one shoulder, it'll constantly struggle to stay on. So, best bet to get the shoulder pad for the added grip - at the very least it'll add comfort and aesthetics. :)

Dropped my Hadley Digital when I was hurrying out yhe door. Cost me a filter. Bought my pad the same day. It's well made insurance, and makes the bag more comfortable.
A DomkePostal Pad works too.
I wish the Hadley bags came with the pad.
