Think tank is awesome too. All my wedding gear is from them (belts, bags, airport international, lens holsters - they are all so functional!) I was tempted to go with them for the film gear too but quite honestly wanted something a little more upscale with leather. Something I can give my kids one day. Billingham is perfect for that!

Good you find equipment that suits you.
Every market is different. Here my Domke and TT bags cost asmuch/more than Billingham!
Canada, eh. Prices set by? Guvmnt? Retailers?
And try to find stock! Good luck. Often out-dated or replaced with no mention of cost savings...
Where the Billingham access is so easy for me it's inspiring. Rob S at www.rangefinderstore.com (external link) (I am just a happy customer.)

That's very true! We are so spoiled here in the US - most everything is available so quickly and easily.

I love my Billingham shoulder bags for working out of - they are just so easy to access! But, for travel (especially air travel), nothing beats my Think Tank backpacks. :)

I have received my Billy Hadley Pro Black. I like it much, will soon post pictures with gear in it. But I am curious if everyone has this kind of finish where the handle connect to the bag.

It seem to be as it was done with fire both the ends. I doubt every bag is finished like this. This is why I am asking. I bought it from fotosense (never again!!!) and if it is original. Here is link on bigger picture:

This is from the back side of the bag.

ps. sorry, done with P&S

Hi all,

Would a Billingham Small have enough room for a 5D MkIII with a two of the following, 17-40L, 35L, 85L, 100L, 200L? One will always be mounted to the camera.

Thanks

Use a backpack. that will kill your shoulders

Both of my Hadley Pro bags have something similar at one end of the handle. It appears to be where the ends of the "doubled over" material meet and are sort of hidden (rather than having a ragged end visible at the end of the handle, the material is folded over and the ends are more concealed. Mine don't appear quite as noticeable as your photo, but that may be the macro size appearing worse than it really is.

I'm using my Hadley Pro a lot. BillyPad on the strap.
Right now it has my
* Oly OMD + Oly Grip with kit zoom attached/short tele zoom packed
* Nikon 1 V1, Franiec grip, with kit zoom attached/short tele zoom packed
* iPad
odds & sods...flashlight/leatherman/notebook--my bugout bag

Point is, I must be packing it wrong. The top flap puckers badly. I'm sure that the Oly without the grip would be fine

Yesterday I had a wonderful day; I was invited to a ceremony honouring a Principal of a public school who was moving to another school. The Oly worked so well in a barely adequately lit gymnasium with over 500 kids. The N1V1 wouldn't have performed so well...

I wish the Hadley Pro was just a little bit deeper. Or, I wish that other BillyBags had a strap on the top.

Mine has that little gap in the handle area as well.

Who's using m43rds gear with Billingham bags? Love to find another bag for this:
OMD with grip
kit zoom
moderate tele zoom
Nikon 1V1
kit zoom
tele zoom
I usually carry both to have a backup.

Thank you for your replies. Just wanted to know if it is normal, but seem to be that it is and the bag is original. Thank you :)

Where did you buy these bags? I've never seen the colors.

This should shed some light on them.
