Dan_S, thanks for the prompt reply. Surprised that Canon would build a P&S camera in Japan. Thought they would build it in China or Malaysia. It's rare Japanese companies produce cameras in Japan nowadays. I have another topic which should be started in another tread but will ask here. How is the quality of the audio when recording video with the camera? The Panasonic FX-01 had great audio so was hoping the 800 could be on par. This is my first post and hoping everyone here can help me. I've been reading all the reviews and searching the forums. I don't seem to find info on where the captioned camera is either Made in Japan, China, Malaysia etc.. Thanks for your time.
