I think the OP just wanted to know whether they would be found out.

My concern is that the nice lady who phoned might end up having a hard time from UPS.

I agree completely. Honesty feels better and lasts longer.

Not good reading here.
Headline: a member of the photographer family is tempted to steal from a SLR sibling.

Honesty is the best route.

Once UPS figures out where they screwed up and goes back after the package the lady will probably tell them she gave it to you. Then you are gonna be stuck telling them the truth anyway.

UPS doesnt know she has it, well except for her calling, because our orders got switched, somehow her adress got on mine and mine got on hers....?

So as far as they know, it was stolen at UPS and the lady got hers.

Pick me up a bottle of Chivas Regal while you're there.

If you view yourself as a thief then I guess no one should be surprised if you act like one.

Not you Jake. Bumpus would not have put up with it.

Go for it, I'll have a bottle of their best single malt :p

But seriously, phone up the store and let them know that you've got the original package and where do they want to go from there. You may find that they'll say "meh, keep it" then the guilt will be lifted from your shoulders as they will be the ones ripping off the shipping company

Life is choices.
Between integrity and profit.
Between concience and career.
Between taking the easy way out or the only way out.

It's your choice. I'd send it back. You did ask.

Either way, the only people that lose out would be UPS.

Actually, the people who lose out are the rate payers. There is a "shrinkage" allowance factored into the UPS rates.

Guess who the ratepayers are --- look in a mirror for a hint.
