How should I hang my backdrops?

I am using a spare bedroom for my "studio." I have a backdrop support system (two stands with a crossbar) that I bought from B&H, but it wastes a lot of space in this small room. I'd like to hang them from the ceiling or wall instead, but they have to be easy for me to change by myself during a session. Any ideas on the best way to do this? Thanks!

Bogen has hook-and-crossbar systems which can be bolted to the wall. Their Expan drives are used for rolls of seamless paper to raise and lower them like window shades. You can mount muslin backgrounds by using shower curtain hooks or sewing a pocket across them and using tubing with the hooks.

Or, if you don't mind a few screw holes, you could try this:

What I'm leaning towards now is this:

Using the crossbar that I already have... hang it on hooks that are put into the wall from the hardware store, about 9 feet apart. Then sewing a rod pocket into my backdrops and interchanging them that way. Any reason not to do this, other than not wanting to alter my backdrops (all fabric, none paper)?
