so i went on eBay and bought a Adidt M1 remote release ($13 after shipping). soi put it in the side of the camera and turned my camera on and pressed the main button on the remote. nothing happened. i tryed doing all sorts of things to the button and tryed different settings on the camera. still no luck.

so i sent an email to the ebay guy and he sent me another one for free. i didnt even have to return the first one. i just got the second one today....only problem is that this one doesnt seem to work either.

at this point i think i am doing something wrong since i have never used a remote release cable before. what could i be doing wrong?

i wanted to ask people here before i sent another email to the ebay guy because i think im doing something wrong!!

thanks

if you plug it in the right hole, and then press the big silver button down with the camera on, and the lens in MF (so it doesn't fail to AF and refuse to take a picture), and then look through the viewfinder and see what happens
