Hi Everyone

I have just found a rather excellent article written some time ago on flash photography by Curtis N which ended with Part 2 coming shortly.

Could Curtis or anyone fill me in as to where this Part 2 article is to be found.

Full marks to Curtis for the original.

Regards

Ray,
Thanks for your interest.
Chapter 2 is not yet published. It will be a very basic guide entitled "(Why) Should I get a flash unit for my camera?" It's intended to explain the advantages of a hotshoe flash unit verses the built-in flash. The question comes up here once in a while, so I thought it would be good to have as a reference.

The text is written and I'm trying to find a nice-looking model to sit for some example shots to demonstrate the differences. If you already have a flash unit, there probably won't be much info in it that's news to you.

Other subsequent chapters will probably deal with high-speed sync, guide numbers and flash brackets.

Thanks Curtis

I am fairly familiar with the basics of flash etc: But your little article was so well written and laid out that I just had to see your follow-up article.
I liked the demonstration with the cups.

Some in-depth info on HSS would be interesting.

I use the 580EX and a Metz 45-CL4. I no longer need the Metz so I will have to raise cash on it.

All the best
