Apologies if this appears twice - my first attempt didn't seem to post correctly.

I have a Spyder 2 calibration device with PhotoCal. I have used this several times in the past with mixed success. Last night I tried three times to profile my Samsung LCD monitor to no avail. Each time I ended up with a VERY red screen hue and completely unusable as a profile. I have had this occasionally in the past but a repeat procedure usually yielded a better and more usable profile.

Has anyone ever seen such a red profile be developed with this Spyder 2 package? I ensured that the LCD has been warmed up and the room was very dark around the monitor. Not sure what I am doing wrong to get such a bad profile.

Appreciate any help!

I assume you calibrated it with the LCD attachment in place?

Yep. I followed the instructions as I always have done.

Did you adjust any of the settings on the monitor to get the temperature and balance right before running the calibration itself? When I got my Spyder 2, it told me to do that. I often ended up with a color tint in the white areas. When I upgraded to the Pro software, it tells you not to bother and let the profile manage everything which it does just fine. Perhaps reset to factory settings and see what the profile achieves on its own?
