hey just want some cc on my first dragonfly attempt. I realize its a little off but let me know what you think.

If the dragonfly was sharp it would be a winner. I love everything but the poor sharpness. The lighting is really very good indeed. Also the legs are a bit messy...was he drunk? Damn those alchoholic dragonflies!!!! ;)

All in all pretty good. Look at Lord V's tutorials/technical advice to get you where you want to be.


2 EOS 1 mkII Dn's, 24-70 2.8L,70-200 2.8L,14 prime 2.8L,100 macro 2.8, metz, metz, and more metz...plus a whole load of other stuff that really is unimportant. It all about the picture, not the tool.
Had the 1ds for a few weeks then realised was overkill. Bought 5d and the 400mm instead.

sorry for the mix up.. they all seem the same to me.. I shot this hand held from about 6 feet.. with a crappy lens thats why I had shade.. oh well.. its fun just the same right

It is a very nice shot none the less, nice color and perspective.

It's pretty good for first attempt. I like the color and smooth background. As someone mentioned, the blur is the only thing that takes away from the photo. Perhaps a tripod, monopod or lens with IS would help.
