I want to jazz up a photo of someone standing in front of an outside Christmas tree at night. Although there are a couple of lights on the tree, my photo didn't capture any glow. Can I add some glowing lights to this tree? I've tried using a layer with some brush strokes, but I can't make the little flakes and stars actually glow like lightbulbs. Any suggestions? I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS. Thanks in advance!

Never mind...

I posted the same question on another board and got lots of help. Someone there explained it very well for me, so I no longer need the information.

shutting down the lens as far as you can will add the twinkle effect.
