Just purchased a 10D body( for backup) with 1400 actuations on it + a 12 month old EF 17-40mm f/4 L series lens all boxed with manuals, cables etc for £500 ($850). I only really wanted the lens but he wouldn't split it. The guy did look like he had a tear in his eye when I took it off him. ;)

I don't know much at all about this stuff, but this morning I paid $828 to B&H for a new XT with lens kit, spare battery, UV filter and 1 gig chip. For $50 more, I would have jumped on your deal in a New York minute!

I never use the word awesome, but this deal really is. :) And you'll love the 10D as back up. It's still a great camera.
