Hi all,
I've seen several posts in the last few days that talk of the three 70-200 Canon options, and questions of whether a new 70-200/2.8 had IS or not, but here in the UK the non-IS version is no longer listed and my 2006 Canon brochure shows it but says 'item discontinued'. I'm just interested to know if it is still available new in US, and if so is that just because there are still plentiful stocks of a discontinued item, or is it actually still being made?
I'm only curious - I have the f/4 and am completely happy with it. I have no need to spend the extra £900 for one stop more light (and admittedly IS, which might be nice).
Cheers,

But I agree with Corey in that the IQ matches that of primes in similar focal lengths. To me it's the epitomy of the perfect zoom.
