Had the opportunity yesterday to visit & photograph one of Auckland's best example of archetectural work still in existence (thanks Matt!)
Sadly the photos don't really do it justice (both these two feel overprocessed to me) but interesting anyway.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

the blue looks pretty much as you see it in the crop. And there may have been somebody in the shot - or then again maybe not... :p

no shots of the ceiling? thats almost compulsory for the civic center, innit?

both pics look a bit grainy/noisy to me, but might just be my monitor. Funny seeing it all lit up actually.

What lens did you have on Duncan? Dis you use a tripod?

Didn't Peter Jackson use the civic for King Kong? Or was it just the foyer area?

I used the 16-35 for this one and it's way too long to get enough in!, yes the tripod got used (30sec...) just think its just too noisy really, will see if I can find some noise reduction s/w and see what it does.
