For those of you who can't read minds the website is http://www.davidjay.com/ (external link)

No time to look at it right now myself, too many videos on his website.

take his course next month :)

I'm still debating on going. His stuff is amazing, but he specializes in a touchless approach after the wedding is over, and thats not what I want to do.

He shot my old roomates wedding, and he really did a great job. Definetly someone to work up towards, and a humble guy. Only ~25 years old too. Not bad pulling in a minimum of 10k every weekend of the year

the way I see it, you can use it to show that you aren't some 18 year old kid with a rebel and kit lens that decided to start shooting weddings.

haha... thanks Tim for the link. forgot to put it in. yeah, the only thing i don't like about his site is that he uses macromedia flash.. which looks great.. but lags in loading time.

corey, i'm thinking about taking his class next month too.. but since it's marked intermediate.. i'm not sure how much benefit i will be able to absorb from that class. touchless concept is a good idea... just not sure if that's the way to go?

I talked to him about it, and this is what he said about it:

"Hey Corey!

It's gonna be a pretty complete 2 day rush of setting up a wedding business to be very "hands-free."

My goal is to teach people how to create a business that gives them more freedom for their life and so there won't be an overload of technical shooting stuff and it sounds like you've probably got that covered anyway.

Hope to see you there or meet up another time!

Blessings"

Sorry, but what does he mean by "hands-free"? Does that mean no post-processing?

He uses a lot of automated programs, and then uploads to Pictage.com for ordering, printing and albums. He's so busy that he could never put together the actualalbums, so he outsources everthing.

Here's his latest software he's pushing and using:

Thanks, Corey. I need to learn how to do some of those effects. I like the dress one a lot. Didn't really like the portrait example, though. I've been wondering what people do to some of their pics, it didn't seem natural, now I have a better idea. Maybe I should load up the kids and go down for the workshop. :) I wish!

Do you know of any other Photoshop plug-ins that are good? What do you think about Show It?
Thanks.

I just use some freebe actions here and there, theres a link to the page I got them in my resources page.

I'm trying out showit web as we speak, just the demo for now, but am pretty impressed with it. But $200 is pretty steep for web slideshows.
