He said it somewhere in one of his videos that his key is how he envokes an emotional attachment to the pictures, and that his whole business was created through referals from his pictures he displays at the wedding. He gets a slideshow going at the reception and up online that night.

Yes, his site is very emotion evoking with the dramatic fading in and out. I didn't have the sound on so I maybe I could have really been moved. He uses the Lord and Savior bit as a selling point, too. I try and get the pics up on my website for clients w/in a couple of days. Hopefully someday I'll be good enough to do it that night.

jessiper... yeah i'm searching for hotel and stuff like that right now. i guess the reason why i'm hesitating is because i don't feel i am to that intermediate level yet, as the class is for intermediate. but then again.. i don't think he has a beginner's class either.

hotel in santa barbara? haha, prepare to pay $200 a night for a so-so room. That and they're usually booked up on weekends well in advance. Either that or stay far away like in Carpinteria.

thats what you'd learn at the conference, its all about the software.

I'm thinking more about buying the software than the plane ticket, as I'd end up getting the software anyway if I went.

Theres a $20 off for the effects package in his montly email right now

its really easy, its just hgihway 101 all the way through.

It goes Goleta, santa barbara, montecito, summerland, carpenteria, then a bit south is ventura.

realistically staying in any of those cities wouldn't be a problem, but the 101 is nasty on sundays, especailly going south, so do plan on going back to the hotel that night if you stayed south of SB.

Try goleta, its like 10 minutes north of where the conferences are, I lived there the plast 9 months I was there for school.

i think so, he said it was about his touchless system, so I'm betting thats what will be covered. Shot saturday, proccess sunday, but I could be wrong. You can always shoot him an email or call him.

For the cost of a plane ticket into SB, i'd drive or take the train. Its around 4 hrs, well its usually 4 hours from SB to SF for me. SB is pretty expnsive to fly into, and the cheeper airposts are burbank and LAX, which are 1.5 hrs away. Maybe you could find a special deal on a little plane, I dunno

This looks very interesting, I think I may go to the conference mainly because SB is only about an hour from where I live and that is a great price. Does anyone know how often these are held? I am not 100% sure if I will be able to make it to this one, but I definately want go to one.
