It would be nice if there is a forum section devoted to nice places to photograph, indexed by cities, etc. I think I've exhausted my nearby places. Sometimes it is really hard to say if a place will look good in photos and it is really hard to find such places in the car driving by.

I like your idea but that would be a huge task. Think you would need people to vote on and qualify the entries.

If we create a section called location, and sub section like USA/UK/etc, it should not involve too much admin management. It doesn't have to be professional location, just any where the poster thought was worth a visit.

OK dr_who, create sections like you said. People can have fun posting ... sounding good. Then can the person entering the post select an option to enter the portrait into a data file where someone can sort by location, topic, ... Admins could modify entries ... Can come up with some more input. Now,the last action will be to determine who is going to tell Pekka he has a FUN task waiting for him?

Actually, I quite like the idea. There are several locations that I can recommend, and I've gotten several good recommendations from others here on the forum. Why couldn't this be done, though, with something more simple like a Sticky Thread?

I think this is a good idea too. If we managed it ourselves, i.e just a locations forum where people can post interesting places they have been too with example shots.
