Hello everyone. I finally got squared away with the old gallery I had pretty much abandoned (couldn't login), and uploaded some shots from vacation.

I hope to get back into photography, but am having a bit of difficulty finding time to do so. My "skills" are rather rusty, and I need to practice more. Here are some from the 6 million acre Adirondack Park in upstate New York. I've been there a few times now, and I'm finally fed up with vacationing there, I HAVE to make it my home. Stop existing, and start living.

It looks like I should've taken the time to use a tripod, and make dual exposures of a lot of these, but didn't, and a polarizer and ND grad filter wouldn't hurt either. I'm just too hasty, and usually just end up shooting handheld. Lazy men can't complain about image quality though... so I'll shut up with the excuses :p

Blah blah blah.... anyway:

I like #4 and #5, the firsts was maybe a little bit under exposed. I'd prefer #6 in horizontal format... don't you ?

Thanks guys!

AndreaV:
I remember framing the shot as a landscape too, and not liking it, I don't remember exactly what I didn't like though. I'll just blame laziness again ;)

:D did you use a polar filter in your last picture? maybe a polarizer could reduce flares on the water and saturate colors.... what you think about?

stoneylonesome:
Thanks buddy! I'm trying to get back in the swing:)

AndreaV:
I don't have a polarizing filter for my 17-40, but used to use one religiously on my G2. I agree that I definitely need to get one. You're right!

photojag:
Thanks for the compliment and the welcome!

dv2004:
Thanks a lot! I think I've seen a few of yours on here and, wow. I have a tripod, I'm just too lazy to use it ..... ............
