Strath Conon revisited in B&W

Some time ago I posted this image https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthre​ad.php?t=192003
Tim Wee kindly suggested trying it in B&W. Indeed, he made a really good conversion of it, himself.
I've done virtually no conversions myself, but as it was a lousy day today, I thought I'd have a go.
Please let me know what you think.

Good shot, but the conversion looks a bit dark to me. May just be my monitor though...

I agree it seems a lttle dark. It almost looks stormy to me. It's beautiful though!

I did the conversion on the laptop, and depending on the angle of the screen, it looks light then dark
I wanted to get a high contrast image, and at some angles it looks OK at others it looks too dark.

Very forebodding - kinda reminds me of the film Highlander. I like it dark like that, adds to the mood.

I too bought a Laptop for PPing on the move, I also find it hard to get a happy medium when it comes to the LCD screen, that much so that I'm thinkin about flogging it.

Really a great shot in both color and B&W. Yeah, it's a bit dark but, with that sky, I wouldn't want it much brighter. Well done.

Talking about films, scenes like this always remind me of the original 39 Steps with Robert Donat! Just shows how old I am!

Certainly not one for the Sottish Tourist Board, wouldn't attract many visitors!

Nice converson, I like the drama which the B&W creates and the darkness you have created.
