It might be interesting to see shots with the hoop (they're looking in that direction) included...but I admittedly know nothing about that kind of photography.

Thanks for the tips guys I appreciate it. I have a question about focusing in basketball.

Do you guys use center AF point and then AI Servo and make sure the player is in the center of the frame - otherwise it will be OOF, correct?

Center point will be your most accurate point on your camera. AI Servo is the only way to go.

If you use a wide angle lens, you can actually shoot at a slower shutter speed. I shot with my Tokina 12-24, but then I had better light(so I stopped it down a decent amount).

But yeah, the good advice here. ISO 1600 or 3200 + RAW(if you can) wioll be the process you want to take.
