First off, I work in retail stales. One of our distributors specializes in Canon digital equipment. As I was looking for accesories for my G3 in their database I've noticed a Speedlite 420ex listed for a ridiculously low price! However, in their description it says 'Canon Speedlite 420ex for G1, G2, G3' which is cool. But with the possibility of eventualy upgrading to EOS 10d I want to make sure I'l lbe compatible in the future. My questions is: Are there different models of the Speedlite 420ex to fit different Canon cameras???
Nevertheless, I've placed an order for it and I'll find out one way or another.

There is only one version of the 420EX and it will work with the 10D as well as (or actually better than) it does on the G series cameras.

tommy_t,
Would you care to reveal the source of the 420EX for that ridiculously low price? I'm sure a lot of the members of this forum would be grateful to you for that information!

Well, I received an email today regarding my inquiry with this and it said that the price was incorrectly entered into the database. However, my order was still processed at the original price of $99 CDN. I checked today and the price was adjusted to $299.00 which is still good for Canada.

I thought you would like to know there is a $15 rebate on that flash at this time.
Maybe canon's web site can get the rebate coupon for you.

Unfortunately this purchase was made in Canada and does not qualify for the rebate :( . However, thanks for the heads-up because my friend purchased one from the US and he will qualify :) .
